Scarce and beautiful map of central and southern Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria and Czechoslovakia, extending south to the Gulf of Venice. An inset at top right depicts the locations of monasteries of the Order of Saint Benedict in Poland and Lithuania. The map locates the abbeys and monasteries throughout the region and is richly adorned with religious scenes and symbols.

Full original color with light toning along the centerfold, some color offsetting at bottom right, and a printer's crease at top left. There are archival repairs to two 2" tears in the image.
