This superb title page is from this prestigious English atlas. The title is presented in an elaborate architectural framework with alcoves featuring a native Britain at top flanked with the figures of four invaders - a Roman, Saxon, Dane, and Norman. The imprint of George Humble at the Whit horse in Popes-head Alley is at bottom.
