Interesting small map of the United States with the West divided into districts. The Huron District encompasses Wisconsin, the Sioux District takes in Minnesota and much of the Dakotas, and the Oregon District fills Washington, Oregon and Idaho. The central states include the Mandan, Osage and Ozark Districts and are also called the Great American Desert. This is a nice example of the period when publishers employed children to color maps as evidenced by the rather haphazard application of the color on the boundaries.
