This religious-historical map of Europe extends to include northern Africa and a portion of the Middle East. Locations of general and provincial councils and synods are noted throughout, although most detail is focused in France. The map is adorned with two decorative title cartouches in French and Latin. A nice impression on paper with a bunch of grapes watermark, moderate toning and foxing, and some damp stains and tears confined to the edges of the sheet. There is masking tape along the edges of the sheet on verso, which could be trimmed while leaving ample margins.
