This is a decorative and detailed map of the southern part of the United States, Mexico and Central America. The map is filled with remarkable detail throughout, particularly in Texas, New Mexico and Arizona with lots on information on Native American tribes, missions and topography. The cartouche features a lovely landscape with flowers and native dwellings.
References: Wheat [TMW] #203.
The map has original coloring and a nice impression. The centerfold is toned, and there is a small bit of worming in the lower, blank margin near the centerfold, not affecting the map.
