Fabulous battle plan shows the troop locations in the fields outside of the fortified city of Maastricht. This scene depicts a major battle in the War of the Spanish Succession. A large, elaborate cartouche contains another title, "Plan of the Camp of the Army of the Allies, commanded by Monsr. D'Auverquerque, and the manner in which it was drawn up in Battle, when the Army of the Two Crowns advanced to Attack it May 14th, 1703." Engraved by Isaac Basire.
Remargined at top including facsimile of border at right, else very good.
