Very early map of the newly-formed United States. It covers the region from northern Virginia to Maine (Machasuzet Bay) with good topographical detail including numerous settlements, forts, and Indian villages. Four distance scales.

Condition: A

Good impression with later full hand coloring. Blue wash coloring in ocean. A little paper thinness at upper margin with some loss in this area that may be original, resulting in a deckled edge.
