Very large, graphic celestial chart depicting the North equatorial pole to 38° S. This is a reissue of Johann Elert Bode's map dated 1787, published by Schraembl in 1800. J.E. Bode was a self taught astronomer and served as director of the astronomical observatory of the Berlin Academy of Science for nearly 40 years.

Sparse color. Minor flaws in the very large blank margins. Couple of old ink library stamps on verso.
