Charming small map of central and western Mexico. Mexico City located on the banks of a large lake, and numerous gold and silver mines are scattered across the map. Strapwork title cartouche and scale of miles. From an English edition of the Atlas Minor with text sheets providing an interesting description of the land, "New Spaine is the greatest Province in America, being more inhabited, more populous, and more pleasant than the rest…"
