Beautiful copper engraved Bible map by this renowned Dutch engraver who produced a number of maps that were published in various atlases and Bibles. This particular map is from a section describing the location of the children of Noah after the Flood. The main scene shows the earth with all its natural beauty, including a wide variety of animals. In the center is a globe showing the world as known in ancient times. At the bottom, scenes from the Bible are depicted including: Adam and Eve in Paradise, Abraham offering his son, Jonah and the Whale, The Last Supper and the Crucifixion. Centered at the bottom is God's Lamb (John 1:30).
