Twenty page monograph with a fold-out facsimile of Distrurnell's famous map titled "Mapa de los Estados Unidos de Mejico. . ." (33 x 23.7") attached to front cover. Finely produced on a hand-operated press. Hard cover in navy buckram with gilt title on spine. Mistakes on this map used at the end of the Mexican War were the source of the boundary dispute that finally resulted in redrawing the border with Mexico.
