Attractive map of the Americas, which also includes a good bit of western Europe and Africa. An unusual northwest coast of America, which includes "Martin d'Aguilar's Strait", which provides for a NORTHWEST PASSAGE via the Great Lakes. The northwest is virtually blank with a notation concerning the Russian explorations in 1743. The European colonies are shown by dotted lines. Simple title cartouche and nice compass rose. Crisp impression on a large sheet of quality hand-laid paper with a good watermark.
