Splendid example of Hondius' engraving. Covers all of northern Asia from Moscow to the ""Anian Fretum"" and depicts Korea as an island. Illustrations include the Great Wall of China, rivers, villages, mountains etc. Depicts the newly discovered Nova Zembla and mythological Lands of Gog and Magog. Beautifully decorated with costumed people, a camp scene and three large strapwork cartouches.
