This is a re-issue of Hessel Gerritsz' rare and significant map of Russia, which he compiled from manuscripts brought back by Isaac Massa. Includes an inset plan of Moscow which is attributed to the Crown Prince Fydor Gudonov. Richly decorated with a large title cartouche, sailing ships, a compass rose, three Russian gentlemen, and a view of Archangel Sckagoroda. Impression light in one of the ships, else very fine.
