Elaborately decorated map of the tip of South America with the Strait of Magellan and Le Maire Strait. Fully engraved with scenes of native life and animals, a raging sea battle, compass roses and four cartouches surrounded by numerous cherubs and figures. Professionally backed with tissue to repair centerfold split and a thumbnail size hole in an unengraved area.
