Highly decorative map of Morocco oriented with north to the right and including the Strait of Gibraltar. It is based on the cartography of Abraham Ortelius, who is credited in the cartouche. The Atlantic is filled with five sailing ships, including two engaged in battle. Two dancing satyrs brandishing their javelins flank the large title cartouche. French text on verso, published between 1639-49.

Condition: B+

Full contemporary color with some minor foxing in the image and a repaired short centerfold separation confined to the top blank margin. There is masking tape along the sheet edges on verso from a previous framing, with related old tape stains visible on recto.
