This pair of copper engravings show the Dutch forts on Goree Island in present-day Senegal. The first presents a coastal view of the two forts with ships in the foreground. An alternate French title is above a cartouche supported by a griffon that contains the title in Dutch. The second is a fine view of the interior of Fort Nassau with Fort Orange in the background.
