This attractive map covers northern Africa from Tripoli to the Red Sea. The topography is mostly spurious with numerous mountain ranges and oases prominently located. The plinth-style title cartouche is flanked by pyramids. Engraved by Jean Somer.

A crisp impression with contemporary outline color on a bright sheet with a large easel watermark. There is a bit of extraneous creasing along the centerfold, a small abrasion in southern Egypt, and light soiling. There are dampstains along the edges of the sheet, entering the image at bottom left and center.
