This world map denotes the British Empire and its possessions in red. The tables in the top corners of the sheet identify the possessions, their date of acquisition, the population, and the area in square miles. Natives from various British possessions Australia, North America, Asia, Europe, and Africa are illustrated above and below the map. The map was engraved by J. Bartholomew and the figures were drawn and engraved by A. Thom. Published by A. Fullarton & Co.
