This rare plan of Victoria, British Columbia, was published by the Vancouver Island Development League. The map spans from Cordova Bay south to the Juan de Fuca Strait. The city is shown in plan form with its streets named. An explanatory legend identifies Parliament buildings, the Empress Hotel, Victoria Theatre, and six other sites of civic interest. Nearby lakes and rivers, railroads, parks, golf links, and more are located. Text above and below tries to sell Victoria as an affordable and attractive place to live. Verso includes a small "motoring map," Plan of South End of Vancouver Island (3.3 x 5.4") and text on nearby attractions. Self-folds into a brochure (4.3 x 9.2") with the title Seeing Victoria - Guide, with Maps to the City, Suburbs, Motor Drives and Chief Points of Interest.
