This 23-page promotional brochure was published by Clark & Longley Printers in Chicago. The half-title promotes “A Valley of Fruits and Flowers in a Land of Perpetual Sunshine” centered on the “growing and prosperous city of Phoenix” with a population over 4,000. Features an odd choice (but an attractive building!) for the frontispiece with “Territorial Asylum for the Insane” in Phoenix. The benefits of the irrigation provided by the Arizona Canal for agriculture are described with full-page illustrations including the Arizona Canal (2), an orchard, stock farm, and Brill’s Ranch. Lands comparable to the finest California fruit sections are said to be available at one-tenth the cost. A regional map on rear wrapper extends from Glendale east to Mesa City. Bound in pictorial paper wrappers.
Contents are mostly clean and bright. Wrappers have a bit of toning and soiling.
