This pictorial map of North America is filled with illustrations demonstrating the continent's diverse industries with a legend identifying the largest categories including agriculture, manufacturing, lumbering, education, meat packing, and more. It was issued as a supplement to the Southern Agriculturist magazine, noted as "First in the Farm homes of the South." Additional text at top advises the reader to "Kill the Scrub Sire" and "We Advocate Eight Months School for Every Child." The composition is completed by two small insets at lower left including Alaska and the vicinity of Chicago (home of the map publisher).
