This map is from the French edition of Carey & Lea's American Atlas. The large-scale map shows the state with 62 counties and large western counties. The old boundary between North and South Carolina is noted. It is surrounded by French text on three sides, including a list of county populations and governors through 1821. Engraved by Beaupre. On a sheet that measures 26.9 x 20.4".
