"[Set of 4 Maps] Compliments of the Great Northern Building & Loan Company - "Back the Men Who Are Fighting for Victory"",

The Great Northern Building & Loan Company in Barberton, Ohio issued these 4 maps during World War II. Its patriotic theme is reflected in the reminder to buy war bonds and stamps and on the map of the United States, which locates military bases (except for certain top secret sites) and includes illustrations of various insignia and specialty marks across the bottom. The individual maps are credited to the Thos. D. Murphy Co., J.W. Clement Co., and/or Matthews-Northup Works. Map sheets are held together by a small metal fastener at top.

The world and U.S. maps have light soiling, and on the world map, there is a small abrasion in Chile. There are some short edge tears in the bottom blank margins, with the world map partially separated from the metal fastener at bottom right.
