This sea chart centers on the infamous Barbary Coast in Algeria, with part of Sardinia at upper right. Insets show the cities of Algiers and Bona, two of the notorious pirate bases. The map features two compass roses and is crisscrossed by rhumblines. Three distance scales appear in a simple cartouche at bottom. Seller's imprint has been removed in the cartouche on this example. Engraved by James Bennett.


Condition: B+

On a lightly toned sheet with some light offsetting and a couple minor edge tears, well away from the map.
