This is the first Washington printing containing the Texas Constitution. Consisting of 28 pages, the report includes a letter from Anson Jones, President Polk's message sending it to the House of Representatives, the text of the constitution, and the joint resolution. The resolution passed in the House (141-56) and Senate (32-14) and was signed into law by President Polk. Rebound in thin stiff boards with blue cloth spine.
References: Streeter (Texas) #1613.
Condition: B
Text is lightly toned with occasional foxing. A tiny chip on one page has been reinforced with archival materials on both recto and verso. Modern covers are very good.
