This miniature copper-engraved map features a large title cartouche and vignettes of a raging sea battle in the Pacific and an Indian battle in the region labeled Louisiane. The map covers the southern part of the present United States from the Baja (I. Californie) through Florida and extends south through Central America. This is the second state with a German title above the map, "Mexica oder Neu Spannien," published in Johann David Zunner's edition of Mallet's Description de l'Univers…
