This is an uncommon edition of this map centered on Wroclaw (Breslau) bearing a re-engraved cartouche at top containing a dedication to Sir George Cartwright, an emissary of the Duke of York and the British Officer who secured the Dutch surrender of Fort Orange (present-day Albany) in 1664. The dedication cartouche also includes a ancient Briton, a Roman soldier, and a shepherd and his flock. At bottom right is a large inset with a bird's-eye plan of Wroclaw.
