This is the second printed map of Wales, after Ortelius' map, which was created by Humphrey Lhuyd. At top right are the names of the regions in Latin, English and Welsh. The map is elegantly embellished with two strapwork cartouches, sea monsters, sailing ships, and a quadrant of a large compass rose. French text on verso.

A nice impression on a sturdy sheet with a small coat of arms watermark, very light toning, and a few spots of foxing.
