This rare and decorative map of Havana is based on the survey of Captain James Phelps. The detailed plan shows the harbor, fortified city and surrounding countryside. A key at top left locates Morro Castle, the Custom House, the Governor's fort, factories, and churches. The title cartouche features a vignette of a galleon and a fort. A large compass rose orients the chart with north in the lower left corner of the map. Published in the March 1762 issue of Universal Museum.
