This map of the fabled area in present-day Romania shows mountain ranges, forests and the fertile river valleys. It is decorated with three strapwork cartouches including one that credits Sambucus's map of 1566 as the basis of this map, and is surrounded by a boldly engraved border. This is the third state with Latin text on verso. A small crack in the plate is visible at bottom left.

There are a few areas of light color offsetting and a 3.25" centerfold separation at bottom that has been closed on verso with archival materials.
