Based on the cartography of Johann Criginger (1521-1571), this fine map places Prague just north of center. It is boldly engraved in Ortelius' style; mountains and forests and hundreds of tiny villages are shown. Two sumptuous strapwork cartouches decorate the bottom. Latin text on verso.
