County configurations are current to 1871 with the addition of Summers County from Greenbrier in West Virginia. Highly detailed, the map presents towns, cities, railroads, canals, and wagon roads. Includes inset maps of Richmond and Norfolk. Folds into brown cloth boards (3.5 x 4.9") with gilt title on the front cover.
