This elegantly engraved frontispiece was likely published in an atlas circa 1720. It features a number of mythological figures, fascinating classical architecture, an armillary sphere, and a globe. In the foreground, a young figure scratches out the words "Impatientia et Negligentia" at the instruction of Mercury, who traces the words "Patientia et Industria" on a slate.
