An attractive small map of Bohemia with Prague near the center. It is boldly engraved in Mercator's style with mountains, forests and scores of tiny villages and is graced with a pair of strapwork cartouches. German text on verso. This map is very rare as it only appeared in the last two editions of Jansson's Atlas Minor in 1648-51. Although almost nearly identical to the earlier plate, this plate is differentiated by the absence of coordinate figures and wind directions in the border.
