Charming small map of the continent with two large mythical lakes: Eupana Lacus in Brazil, and an unnamed Lake Parime along the equator in Guyana with the fabled city of gold, Manoa along its northern shore. Tierra del Fuego is attached to a large southern continent. Decorated with a native in southern South America and a large strapwork title cartouche. French text on verso, published between 1630-36.

A dark impression on watermarked paper with light printer's ink residue and a small rust spot in the south Pacific Ocean. Light toning along the edges of the sheet.
