This graphic map of the Old World is dedicated to Jacobo Marcello. The map is based on classical geography, covering Europe, most of Africa and part of Asia. The signs of the zodiac, climatic zones and other types of information form rings around the map, which is then set in a boldly engraved background with the dedication cartouche and the Venetian coat of arms.

A sharp impression on paper with a small bull medallion watermark, light soiling, and light scattered foxing confined to the blank margins. There is a printer's crease along the centerfold at top, as well as a couple of extraneous creases also along the centerfold. There are some old tape and glue stains in the top blank margin, just entering a tiny bit into the title at top right.
