This unusual item includes very decorative maps of Italy and Tuscany printed on a single sheet. The maps show the locations noted in Dante's works and from his travels in exile. Following the footsteps of Dante was apparently a popular tourist activity in the 19th century. The map was created by Mary Hensman, a British artist, and includes a 51 page brochure explaining the map. Folds into 12mo brown cloth covers.
