This rare, tiny map was likely engraved by Gabriel Bodenehr. It depicts the region of present-day Mexico and Central America, extending from Sinaloa south to Panama. The region to the north of the Las Palmas River is labeled Florida with New Mexico to its west. The Florida peninsula takes an odd shape and is labeled Tegeste. German text is below the map. This is the second state with VIII.c above the top border.
