This simple bird's-eye plan of Jerusalem is based on an imaginative interpretation of Old Testament descriptions. Oriented with north to the right, the City of David is shown in a circular form on Mount Zion. The fortifications of the city and several other key locations are shown, identified by a lettered and numbered key at left.

Watermarked paper, issued folding and now pressed with archival repairs to several minor separations and holes along the folds. There are printer's creases adjacent to two folds, as well as light soiling and foxing. Old manuscript notation in the key at left.
