This is a lovely map of the Touraine region with Tours and the Loire River at center. Two decorative cartouches feature allegorical renderings of Mother Earth and her bounty. The coat of arms of Tours appears at upper left. Dutch text on verso, published between 1642-64.

Condition: B+

Attractive color on watermarked paper with light printer's ink residue, a stain along centerfold at top, and centerfold separations confined to the top and bottom blank margins. There is some minor creasing and a few short tears confined to the blank margins. Remnants of hinge tape on verso.
