A very fine, large copper engraving of a pair of globes. The terrestrial globe most prominently features Africa, and identifies Europe, North and South America, and a few islands in the Atlantic. The celestial globe is centered on Gemini and Hercules. A ribbon-style banner contains the title, and Latin and German explanatory text panels are included below the globes.

Condition: C+

Toned paper with some soiling, light, scattered foxing, and several damp stains. All four margins have been extended with old paper. A tear in top margin extends 1" into map image.
