A. A Historical Map & Plan of the Campaign in Belgium, A.D. 1815..., (22.6 x 26.8"). This is a rare and beautifully presented battle plan of the Battle of Waterloo and the campaign leading up to it is as described "by the Allied Generals who were Eye Witnesses." This great map is heavily engraved and strongly colored and presents like a wall poster. The upper portion carries the title and details of the Duke of Wellington and Prince Blucher and their ranking officers. Large reference table along right side gives army positions and is keyed to the plan A though R. The map is filled with troop activities as described in scores of icons described in the legend to indicate Troop Encampments, Cantonments, Bivouacs, troops in Advance, in Battle, in Reserve, in Flight and in Retreat, villages, hamlets, castles, roads including paved ones, and many more. The map extends to include Brussels, Namur, Chatellet, Charleroi, Thuin and Braine le Comte. Engraved by Sidney Hall. Condition: Issued folding on watermarked paper with a couple of small separations at fold intersections, a few small spots along one fold, and a number of edge tears confined to the blank margin that have been closed on verso with archival tape. There is a binding trim at upper left and a resulting archivally repaired binding tear that enters 1.5" into the map image.

B. [Lot of 2] Battle of Waterloo, (12.8 x 8.0") [and] Plans of the Battle of Waterloo, at Different Periods on the 18 June 1815, (12.2 x 7.5"). These two maps show troop positions on the battlefield, including their movement throughout the day of Napoleon's final battle and reign as emperor. Condition: Faint offsetting and a few minor spots.
