Finely engraved large map of Europe with the characteristic detail of this prominent Dutch cartographer. It is richly ornamented with a variety of ships sailing the seas, a compass rose, a sea monster, Europa shown riding Zeus in the form of a bull, and several putti holding the title banner aloft.

Condition: B+

Nice original color with a minute hole and a very small tear on the coast of Africa. A centerfold separation that enters map image 2" at bottom has been professionally repaired, and the bottom half of left and right-hand margins have been remargined.
