A richly illustrated history of the discovery and exploration of North America from the voyages of the Vikings to the expeditions to the West. Folio, 254 pp. with more than 350 illustrations, both maps and engravings, several in color. Hardbound in simulated brown leather with gilt title on front cover and spine, with dust jacket. Condition: Contents near fine less a little edge soiling on lower foredge from thumbing. Covers bumped on spine, dust jacket with some insignificant edge tears. (B+)
