This is the frontispiece to the first volume of The Geographical Magazine, by William Frederick Martyn Esq., published by Harrison & Co. The frontispiece depicts Minerva and Britannia studying two globes. Britannia leans on a shield with her lion standing behind her. Female figures representing the four continents surround them, with Europe in the upper left, Asia in the upper right, Africa in the lower left, and the Americas in the lower-right. The piece was drawn by Stothard and engraved by Heath.
