This Italian produced map shows the world as it was known in classical times, with the addition of up-to-date place names. The Nile River is shown with its Ptolemaic source in the Lunae Montes, which is located above the equator in addition to its correct source. Large inset at upper right includes India and Taprobana, extending to include South East Asia and most of Sumatra.

Condition: A

On thick paper with original margins and large watermark. Nice impression and outline color. Slightest hint of centerfold toning that may just be show-through from the backstrap. A little light foxing or staining is visible in upper right corner.
