Complete, early 20th century dissected wooden puzzle map of the United States and territories. The 48-state map includes insets of Alaska, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and the Philippines. The map is a brightly colored lithograph showing major railroads, rivers, state capitols and major cities. The capitol of Oklahoma is Guthrie, which was moved to Oklahoma City in 1910. In Idaho Boise is Boise City. On verso is a nice chart of the flags of the world with Uncle Sam carrying the map. Originally issued in a box with stone lithograph showing Uncle Sam cutting the puzzle along state lines. The box is not present with this puzzle.
Bright color and no flaws except for a few insignificant foxing marks.
