Very handsome, precisely engraved map with a beautiful frame-style border. This is plate V from Barbie du Bocage's Atlas Illustre that was engraved by C. Smith and published by Maison Basset. The map covers nearly the entire Pacific Ocean, from Japan and the Korean Peninsula, across to include part of North America, and south to just past New Zealand at about 60° Longitude.
