This beautifully engraved, decorative map is hand colored by departments. There is fine detail of towns and villages, rivers, and more. The index names all 103 departments with a numeric key to the map. At left, the northernmost area is shown in an inset on the same scale. Decorative title cartouche and small fleur-dy-lis in the Bay of Biscay.
